Gorrie Walk-A Thon

Here is information about registering your child(ren) for this year's walk-a-thon to raise funds for our school. Everything can be done online this year, and it will take very little of your time.

To register, go here: gorrie.dojiggy.com
Once registered, send the link found at the bottom right of your child's web page to family and friends to ask for donations. You can also post directly on facebook and other social media sites. It looks like this:

If any family/business is interested in a sponsorship, there are several opportunities on their child's fundraising page. Simply click on the 'donate now' on your child's page and select the sponsorship of your choice. Sponsorships start at $200, which lists your family name on the official walk-a-thon t-shirt. Sponsorships are due by October 11th to allow time for printing.

More details about registration can be found here: https://smore.com/xwjn

Pajama Day

Friday is PAJAMA DAY!
This Friday, February 25th you can wear your pajamas to school! To participate, bring in $1 on Friday to your teacher.

All money collected will go directly towards the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Davis Islands! Thank you for helping save a life!

As many of you know, I will be walking at Relay for Life of Davis Islands on April 15th and 16th as a member of the Gorrie Team. We are making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society's walk. The staff at Gorrie will be walking in memory of Susanna Merritt, a teacher from Gorrie who passed away last year from cancer.

Many of us are also walking for our own personal reason. Please visit my member page to find out more about the walk and how you can get involved. On my page, you can also make a donation to our team. Many of you have already donated and I am beyond thankful for your support. I know we ask for a lot throughout the year, so whatever you can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! The support and involvement the teachers at Gorrie get from our community is indescribable and so wonderful. The link below will take you directly to my personal page.
